Max's collection

Officially known as "Truck, 3 ton, GS Dropsides (Aust) No. 2 it is missing its sides and the two bins under the left hand side. The truck is remarkably intact and even has it's original mirrors.The left rear tyre dates from 1941 and can be seen in more detail below.
AA LMG mount Fire extinguisher (?) mount looks like it may be a fire service addition. Yes, that IS frost. The temp was well below zero.
A rare item indeed - a Chevrolet overflow tank.
Although cracked, this tyre was interesting and still had lots of tread left. It probably came here on a cab 12 model.
Remains of Holden badge on the rear of the dropside tray.
Data plate shows a mid 1943 date of manufacture with model WO 43. Mounterd on the top of the engine cover is the publications plate.
POL bracket under body is in addition to the bracket on the spare tyre carrier.
